Giving God Just Enough Over the years, I have heard many sermons on God giving us exactly what we need when we need it, but it dawned on me recently that it is so easy to fall into the trap of giving God just enough. For some of us, we struggle with different views inContinue reading “Giving God Just Enough”
The first woman of faith Previously we looked at a woman who lied to God’s face, and today we will focus on the first woman of faith in the Bible. The same woman in that story is the same for today.
Your faith has healed you “She said to herself, “If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed.” Jesus turned and saw her. “Take heart, daughter,” he said, “your faith has healed you.” And the woman was healed at that moment.” Matthew 9:21-22
Why you should not tithe “I know you believe in tithing, but if I were to tithe, the monthly amount would equal purchasing a new car!” announced the speaker. He was obviously in distress. I looked on in fascination. His friend’s response had me sitting back in my seat in awe.

Am I not believing enough? With tears running down her face, the lady cried, “Am I not believing enough?” Fist curled, thumping on her heart, she slid down the wall moaning in anguish. Praying for months with no answer. Reading the Word and believing that what Mark 11 says is true:

I do not want to become so “holy” that I lose true faith, heart, and belief in God. We can become so “religious”Continue reading “When Religion is not enough”
Habakkuk 3:17-18 (New International Version): Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior.
