You were made for a time such as this
“You were made for such a time as this,”, I reminded my friend as we connected over Zoom.
These are not normal times and friends that I long to hug and just give a big squeeze, I find comfort in seeing their smile over our weekly chats. The big topics for the week included not only the delay in USPS shipments, but we lamented considerably over the increasing number of COVID-19 cases in the US. As she shared her concerns, it reminded me of our first weeks of the announcement on the island, my fears and how I overcame them.
I shared with her a summarization of an article that I contributed, but I wanted to leave her with the comfort that God is in control and we need to find our purpose even in this time.

“Effective tomorrow, the entire island will be placed on a curfew. No one is to leave their homes. It is a mandatory requirement for all businesses to be closed. Any business or person breaking this new law will be fined and sentenced to one year in prison,” announced the Premier.
I shared this as a contributing writer on YMI, read the rest of the article here.
