I don’t know what you are going through today… I don’t know the situations you have been through in life… what I do know that is you were not a mistake.
In fact, the bible speaks to how you were chosen… Yes, before time began you were chosen!
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ. For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. Ephesians 1:3-4
Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; Jeremiah 1:5
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. 1 Peter 2:9
You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16
“You are my witnesses,” declares the Lord, “and my servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and believe me and understand that I am he. Before me no god was formed, nor shall there be any after me. Isaiah 43:10
You were chosen.
As kids, many of our games required teams and no one wanted to be the last few chosen. Being a part of the last few chosen meant that no one wanted you really on their team – but they had no choice.
God has a choice. And he chose you!
Food for thought: The world will hate you as they hated Jesus. But stay on the vine through your obedience of the commandments, your love for Christ, reading and studying the Word, praying, fasting and giving. Give God thanks today for how much his love has chosen you.
Prayer: Giver of life. Omnipotent (all powerful), omnipresent (everywhere), omniscient (all knowing) God. How we praise and glory your holy and wondrous name. The “I AM”. God of love and peace. Thank you! Thank you for loving a wretched sinner as me. Thank you for choosing me no matter my past and my future. Father I pray that I decrease and you increase to the praise, glory and honor of your holy name. Amen.
May God’s grace, mercy and love be with you. Shalom!
