Prayer for Women

Prayer for Women

As we celebrate International Women’s Day, let us pray for women.

God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. - Psalm 46:5. Prayer for Women
God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day. – Psalm 46:5

Holy Father, righteous and everlasting, I pray today for all women. You have created women of all different colours, shapes, personalities, and characteristics in your infinite wisdom. To all, you call them beautiful as they were created in your image. When she looks in the mirror, please help her to see the beauty that you adore.

May she know that among all women, she is the most excellent. Your grace and mercy have blessed her forever. Grant her wisdom to discern the truth; clothe her with strength and dignity to face the storms that are to come. Fill her thirst and desires for more of You so that she will be a well-watered garden, radiant in its splendour and continually bearing fruit for the Kingdom.

Guide her hands to success, empowerment and freedom. Pave her path to righteousness and justice. You are her God. Forever will You be within her; forever, You will ensure that even if she falls, You are there to pick her up. In her time of mourning and grief, comfort her. Joy will come in the morning. For her enemies that are lurking and continually gnashing their teeth, armour her to withstand until you seek vengeance on her behalf. May those that go against her receive an everlasting warning, ‘she shall not be touched’!

May she be blessed with family and friends that will laugh with her and call her ‘blessed’. For those that are lonely, may she not settle for second best, but wait for Your great plan that You have for her life. For now, let Jesus be enough. May her days be full of seeking You, Lord and being obedient to Your purpose and will for her life.

We pray that the heavens will open up and rain on those that are hungry, sick, abused, widowed or orphaned. Just one touch from you, Lord, one touch. Hear their cry. By the name above all names, we pray for divine intervention in their life. Only you Lord know the ‘why’; cover her with your banner Jehovah Nissi. Strengthen the hedge that you have around her so that the evil one won’t even know of her presence. Lord, You promised never to leave nor forsake her; You promised that she should never worry – just pray.

Hear our humble prayer today. Let it be so.

To You alone, we can give all the glory, honour and praise.

In Jesus’ name. Amen

Have you ever been disappointed in God?

Published by godlywoman911

I became a Christian at a young age and baptized at the age of 13. My journey has been bittersweet. A majority of my life I have been a Christian. But not a Godly Woman. After many failures, tears and tribulation I realized that something in my Christian life had to change. No longer can I profess that I am a Christian but don’t show daily that Christ lives in me! No longer can I claim that I am HIS child when my thoughts, actions and deeds were not overflowing with HIS love. No longer could I live the way I was living and not seek him daily in prayer, scripture and worship. As the Lord blessed me with that knowledge I felt him also calling me to write my journey and share my thoughts, learning and mistakes with others. Hence the reason for 911. Not only was it a crises in my life to become a Godly Woman but as I delved into scripture to understand how to be Godly, I realized that we are living in crazy world where the desire to be Godly was no longer important. Many boast that they are a Christian and weekly attend Church, but lack the Godly qualities that Christ seeks in ALL of his followers. My deepest desire is to serve Christ faithfully, obey HIM joyfully, trust HIM always, seek HIM eternally and become his close friend so that I can share in his truth and knowledge. I pray that this blog blesses you and provide you with the strength, courage and wisdom to be a Godly Man or Woman.
