You would have probably seen my recent post on my Godly Morning Affirmation Meditation and so today, I will share my Godly Night Affirmation Meditation.
My night routine is pretty simple. After exercise (only 3x per week…I know I know), I head to the shower and start listening to worship music. Worship allows me to declutter my mind and focus on Christ. I seek the Holy Spirit to fill me so that I worship in Spirit and in truth.
After my shower I finish worship, and then start listening to several bible chapters using the YouVersion Bible Reading Plan as I start my self-care. There are a lot of options for you on there so I recommend that you try it – it is a free app. I then start journaling my prayer to my future husband. I love these moments just praying over him and guessing what he may be going through so that I can pray for him.
After that, I read the Bible chapter according to the plan I set out for my What’s App Bible Study Group and share as God leads me with that group. Depending on the night and how exhausted I am, I may also journal to my future hubby. Vying for my attention before I hit the bed is my adorable Shorkie who needs some mama rubs as we prepare for bed.
The routine continues
In bed I will say a short prayer. After prayer I then use my Fitbit app to play a 2-minute stress-reliever audio. What I love about this specific audio is that it reminds me release my jaw, drop my shoulders, relax my forehead, etc. Truly, I didn’t realize I was still going to bed so wound up until I tried that. It helps me wind down. At this time I will then say my Godly Night Affirmation Meditation in my mind. If I am not knocked out within the 2 minutes, I then start playing on my Balance Meditation app, the sounds of the Ocean.
You all know I am an island girl. There is nothing like the sound of the waves crashing into the shore. Can I tell you… I am getting sleepy right about now :).
Godly Night Affirmation Meditation
I leave all of today at your feet, Jesus.
I trust you God.
I am so thankful. I am so blessed.
I am at peace. I am grateful. I am ready to rest.
