From 1-7 January 2026, we will be entering a corporate, public 7-day fast, setting aside the first days of the year to seek God with intention, humility, and surrender.

Scripture teaches us the power of giving God our first fruits. In Proverbs 3:9, we are instructed to honour the Lord with the first fruits of all our increase. And in Joel 2:12, God calls us to return to Him with all of our hearts, with fasting, weeping, and mourning.

As 2026 begins, we are choosing to return to Him first.

Dates: 1-7 January 2026

Daily Fast Window: 6am to 6pm

This applies to your local time zone, wherever you are in the world.

What The Fast Includes

• No food or drink during the fasting hours.
• Water, tea, coffee, juice, or supplements are not included during this time.
• This is a complete fast during the set hours. If you have medical conditions, are pregnant, nursing, or require medication with food, please seek medical guidance and modify as needed. Obedience honours God, but wisdom protects the body that He gave you.

Why We Are Doing This

The phrase God placed on my heart for 2026 is “Pleasing God.”

Before we set goals or make plans, we are choosing to surrender to God’s perfect will.

This fast is an invitation to lay down our desires and sense of control, and place ourselves before God as we seek His plan for our lives. We are going to begin this year by humbling ourselves and asking God the one question that truly matters.
