Has your love grown cold for this world and the things around you?
As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the]end of the age?”
And Jesus answered and said to them, “See to it that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. You will be hearing of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not frightened, for those things must take place, but that is not yet the end. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and earthquakes. But all these things are merely the beginning of birth pangs.
“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. At that time many will fall away and will betray one another and hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and will mislead many. Because lawlessness is increased, most people’s love will grow cold. – Matthew 24:3-12
I know that your life is busy. I understand that you have too much on your plate to even sometimes care. Trust me… I understand. I am also at fault for this.
But has our love grown cold? Do we even care about the plights and issues of so many that are suffering in this world?

And there are just 3 crises issues… there is so much more! So reflect and think… has your love grown cold?
What can you do?
- PRAY for the persons that are affected. Pray for the leaders of countries and this world. Then pray and ask God for direction on what more you can do to help.
- Donate. A little can help. There are many great reputable organizations and churches that are helping in so many different situations. Seek Christ guidance on where you can donate.
- Time. Spend some time researching. Give your time volunteering to feed and clothe the poor. Write about what is happening and your concerns… or spread the word about these issues and encourage others to pray and do something!
Food for thought: We surely do keep ourselves ‘busy’. But in our busy-ness, have we lost our love and caring for others? Have your love grown cold?
Prayer: Holy and compassionate Father. Signs of the end is clear. But your word charges us to love and care for others. By our actions, of showing the love of Christ, numbers will be added to your Kingdom and your will be done. Open our hearts Lord and guide us. In Jesus name. Amen
