As Christians we can be so busy doing God’s work and forgetting the vital importance of us spending quiet times with him. This story highlights the better choice.
“Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.”
Please note that this verse didn’t say, to honor your father and mother only if they were good to you.
In our time of need are we seeking God and asking for HIS guidance? Are we crying out and asking HIM to heal our land? Lord hear our cry…
When you see people, do you see first their culture, their background, or their conviction? Or do you see the possibilities of them becoming disciples of Christ? Christ uses our bodies to serve him in this world and HE has called us to go to different places and people at different times.
You will only become godly when you devote yourself to a life of daily prayer, reading of God’s word and commune with God. Seek the Holy Spirit guidance in your desire to be godly.
In the crazy hectic lives that we live, many of us have just kept on going with no care because it is not affecting us personally, or we have the attitude that it is just not any of our business so we stay out of it! We don’t follow the Lord’s instructions to pray for each other. To be compassionate. To give. To show love. HIS greatest command is to love.
Who is to blame for the increase in divorces and issues in our society? How do we fight for marriages and families? What is God calling Christian’s to do?The bible tells us that Satan has come to steal and destroy (John 10:10).
Stop comparing yourself to others. “Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.” Zechariah 4:6 Only God can make someone wise and have understanding. Only God can make the weak strong and the strong weak.
Who would be blessed when you obey God’s call? Trust and Obey God.
