Cry Out

Cry out: “I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry.” – Psalm 40:1

Today the nation is crying out at the events taking place. Some have decided to go out into the streets to protest, others have turned to social media and the news to express their feelings.

How many have turned to God? Are we seeking him and asking for his guidance? Are we crying out and asking Him to heal our land?

Our God is great enough to move mountains and tear down giants. Call out to him and he will hear.

“In my distress I called to the Lord;
    I called out to my God.
From his temple he heard my voice;
    my cry came to his ears.” – 2 Samuel 22:7

Food for thought: Don’t hold the burden on to your own shoulders. Give it all over to God. Let him take care of it all for you. All you need to do is just ask. Pray and seek his wisdom.

Prayer: Lord hear us… our children, husbands, loved ones are being killed. Help us to heal and forgive. To wait patiently for your justice. We pray for the families and friends of not only #PhilandoCastile and #AltonSterling but also those of the officers involved. Hear our cries Lord and heal our land. Amen
